Terms of Service

The basics of using this website. Please read them before relying on anything here.

Last updated: June 16, 2026

About these terms

By using this website, you agree to these terms. River & Root Therapy (“we,” “I,” or “Kem”) provides this site for general information about the practice.

This site is information, not therapy

The content on this website is for general informational purposes only. It is not psychotherapy, medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and reading it does not create a therapist–client relationship. A professional relationship begins only after we have met, agreed to work together, and completed the appropriate intake and consent process.

Not for emergencies

This website and its contact form are not monitored around the clock and must not be used for emergencies. If you or someone you know is in crisis or experiencing a mental health emergency, call or text the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (available 24/7), call 911, or go to your nearest emergency room.

Using the contact form

Please share only what you are comfortable sending, and understand that email and web forms are not fully secure. Submitting the form does not guarantee availability or establish care. I will follow up to discuss next steps.

Intellectual property

The text, design, and graphics on this site belong to River & Root Therapy unless otherwise noted, and may not be copied or reused without permission.

Links to other sites

This site may link to other resources for your convenience. I am not responsible for the content or practices of websites I do not operate.

No warranties

This website is provided “as is.” While I work to keep it accurate and available, I make no guarantees that it will be error-free or uninterrupted.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah.

Changes

I may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be posted here with its effective date.
